FAQs

How can I get started?

Reach out for a free consult by completing the form here, calling (214) 799-1912, or emailing dracosta@acostawellnes.com.

Available in person in the DFW (Texas) area and via telehealth in 39 states via PSYPACT.

What happens during the free 15-minute phone consult?

The telephone consult is an opportunity for you to share the main reasons for seeking services at this time and to have the chance to ask any initial questions you may have. It is also an opportunity to hear about my services and to determine whether I am the right fit for you. If appropriate, we will then proceed to arrange your first session and discuss intake logistics.

Do you offer in-person or telehealth sessions?

Both. You can complete sessions in person or virtually via a secured and HIPAA-compliant platform. Depending on needs, many clients choose to use a hybrid model – attending in person whenever possible and virtually as needed.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in network with Aetna. I provide out-of-network coverage for all other insurance carriers.

How do out-of-network benefits work for therapy?

If I am not in-network with your insurance carrier, you can inquire about out-of-network coverage with your specific insurance plan. Every month, I will provide you with a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Your insurance company can provide specific details on how to submit a superbill and what percentage of session costs will be covered.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

Per policy, if you would like to cancel a session, please notify me via telephone or email at least 48 hours in advance. Within 48 hours, any appointment changes will incur the full session charge.

What is a “Good Faith Estimate”?

A “Good Faith Estimate” is a part of The No Surprises Act which went into effect in January 2022 and gives patients the right to understand costs for services and receive a “Good Faith Estimate” from their provider. Costs for services will be covered fully in your initial session where you will receive a Good Faith Estimate for our work together. You are also entitled to an estimate in writing at any time. If you would like a Good Faith Estimate, please ask me and I will provide you with one. The No Surprises Act states the following: Health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, including psychotherapy. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. Be sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. If you receive a bill that is greater than or equal to $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
